Sometimes in life, the simplest things have the largest impact. For Adeline Lindstrom, piecing her world back together after absorbing a series of life’s tragic and trying punches meant rediscovering simple loves and redefining her sense of self. Finding Simple Again is Lindstrom’s memoir, covering her early life through the difficult family experiences between 2011 and 2013 that broke her down—and allowed her to be rebuilt. In her inspirational tale, she shares how a unique relationship with physical and mental health impacted her recovery after a descent into chaos. Lindstrom’s personal stories will ring true with women, men and families looking to reconnect with what’s important and appreciate a new life’s most simple offerings. Injected into the author’s tale of rising above life’s greatest challenges are her twenty-five years of experience working as a counselor.

I enjoyed this book very much. Reading about Adeline’s adventurous travels early in her life to the tragic events that later followed showed incredible fortitude and her ability to overcome anything. Her years of counseling experience provided great insight and a new way of dealing with stressful situations, setting family goals, and living an authentic, SIMPLE life. I loved her use of the acronym of the mission of her F.A.M.I.L.Y. Faith, Adventure, Management, Imagination, Love, and Yield. This was a very inspirational story.

A fascinating story of travel, adventure, family dynamics, and personal growth that can be applied to the reader’s life. I found myself wanting to read on to find out what happened next while also reflecting on similar feelings and circumstances that I have experienced with my own family. Adeline will inspire you to see the world, examine your own circumstances, and find the simple joys that mean the most to us all.
